Life back then

Email had become normal enough that Hollywood built a romance around it, and You've Got Mail took its title from the AOL greeting. New computers came with Windows 98, and phones from Nokia and Ericsson kept getting smaller. Music found a new shape too, as the first pocket MP3 players went on sale holding about a dozen songs each. That Christmas, kids begged for a Furby, the chattering toy that sold out everywhere.
